Into the Night

Into the night, the great owl speaks to the fire fly, as he passes by
I know these woods, and I know this night, I am the warrior of the time
I can hear the slithering of the snakes in their bed, and the frogs croaking softly
Into the night, the spirits of the wind, shall take us to another place, and we shall love
The miracle of the moon, the chanting of the tribe, I hear you, in the deepest of the sky
And now, is the time, the time for our native spirits to rest, in the shadows of our eyes
I can speak to the lightening in the sky, the flies will soon hide, and be in comfort in bed
And I shall find my place in the peaceful hollow of the tree, and believe in the miracle
Of a tomorrow that will never end, with our native blood, our native memory of the young
The spirit of the soul, the everlasting calm, of a world that has been touched by our hand
I shall see the lights dim, and I shall feel my warriors dream, in the night of a silent breeze
Into the night I will love, I will live, I will believe, and I shall always see
Into the night
