Nobody’s Child 🥲

She slumped upon the hard seat in the orphanage, and her heart used to pound
Every time a married couple came in that cold room, to pickup that new little daughter or son that they had found
But just like always, she was left like nobody’s child, sadly staring at the ground
Then she would cry her little heart out, when there wasn’t anybody around
She would say to herself, neither wonder nobody wants me, my clothes do not fit properly..they are either far too big or too tight
So at the end of the day, she blamed herself for being left alone on that solitary shelf..she must have looked an awful sight…
And the poor little soul, would sob herself to sleep each and every night
Yet she could dance in her dreams, underneath that pale moonlight
