NOT ANY OLD SPOON

 
I am unnoticed not many of you see me
Come in handy when making a cup of tea
For if you need some sugar I am required 
I guess using me makes you feel inspired 

My home is usually inside a kitchen drawer 
I'm needed for measuring medicine for sure
Silver in colour and I am certainly very small
When it comes to desserts I'm always on call 

So dear friend I am a teaspoon at your service
I really enjoy being part of any table surface
I have a knife and a fork for my friends 
Leaving me dirty though often offends
