Not So Pretty

Not So Pretty

Once a popular cheerleader, smart, beautiful, and funny

No one knew the truth, the silence, the cover-up, the makeover

Alcohol is a disease, not something funny, it takes over

It amuses at first, with an intoxicating flirt, then it falls, no longer lifting

Not so pretty, not so cheery, feeling ugly, now the depression is staying

Pretty is, is pretty does, hoping some day, this will go away
