NURSE

Staten island university hospital
The destination of the ambulance
Driving very fast but at a safe speed
With the siren blaring from a distance

The emts wheeled the patience in the ER 
A male nurse leaves his drinks his coffee and ran out the door
He's helping the doctors on the crowed  ER floor

he takes care of the sick and injured
Treating their wounds as they comes in
its a job that's very demanding on him
but its what he always dreamt of doing

he tend to all kind of injuries people comes in with everyday
People of different religions, color and races
He trys his best to bring them comfort
To ease the Pain and despair Showing on their faces

There's always long lines of patience's
that's waiting along the emergency waiting room
And he would come out and talk to them
Asking if he get them anything and the docter will see them soon

He could of have been an architect
But he choose nursing as a career first
But he thinks that he answered his calling
When he choose to become a male nurse

a woman walks to the bus stop
It's not that very far
She got her drivers licenses
But she just never buy a car

She's going to work today
Although her ankles are very swell
And as the bus Passes a gas station 
she said"Wow gasoline is expensive like hell

she reaches to work and changes in uniform
and she started making her daily rounds
Checking in on all the  patience's in her ward
saying " hello how are you feeling today "As she goes along

Asking the pateinces if they needed anything
A cold drink or a glass of water if they have a thirst
She does anything to make them at ease
It's her job as the head female nurse

Everyone of us has a job to do
And we must always do it the best we can
Because there is a lot hope to be given
By the kindness of a hand

Kind, Caring,and Compassionate,
Is Just a few words to say
Sympathetic, Friendly, and Engaging
its the duty of a nurses job every day

A nurse is a good Listener
Always positive with a kind gentle personality
Patient, quick and understanding
A nurse always gives their attention unconditionally

Its a tough job , but they do it with such grace
 A Smile and gentle word of comfort
Can work mericles sometimes
