Occasionally

Occasionally

I went to St. Tropez, saw Bridget Bardot's cats,
at least she wasn't thinking of eating stupid bats,
I gambled at Monte Carlo Casino, old fashioned mystery,
they asked me if I ever won, I said occasionally.

The Lower, Middle and Upper Corniche needed a Bentley,
I doffed my hat as we sped along to Villafranche,
Nice was nice with the promenade lit brilliantly,
did I ever make love on the beach, I said occasionally.

Cannes brought me to face all of my greatest fans,
although sometimes there were a few naked also-rans,
the film festival was innovative with individuality,
they aske me if I ever scored, I said occasionally.

The Riviera needed me to 'garnish it' with good endeavour,
they asked me if I ever tired of opulence, I said - never.
