Ocean Floor

Ocean Floor

On the ocean floor I sank deep down below,

Anchor wrapped neatly around my feet.

It pulled me in and pushed me down

As if we were destined to meet.

I saw a glimpse of you,

Living, breathing and finally letting go,

Before I sank deep down below.

My beating heart I kept as souvenir,

To show me the foreigners,

Something, of a beautiful spent life.

When they threw me of the boat,

My souvenir broke,

And now I can’t even recall what it’s been like.

In between the misty nights,

I will find my shade of warmth,

Leaving behind the past and broken hearts

As I move forth.

On the ocean floor I sank deep down below,

Anchor wrapped neatly around my feet.

It pulled me in and pushed me down,

As if we were destined too meet.
