Odysseus

Heavy was the wild wind,
In between her blue eyes;
She carried him towards the cave,
Where green mountains sleep,
He sailed towards island of love,
Surrounded by a wall of life,
He was the keeper of all wild winds;
When Odysseus arrived on the island,
King Aeolus gave him gifts of winds;
but one, Zephyros, the western wind,
which was not put into his gift bag,
So as to gently push their ship,
Towards that island of Ithaca.
During the voyage,
Odysseus steered the ship
When they finally caught glimpse
of the coast of the cliff, he fell asleep.
His men took advantage of that;
and opened the big bag,
thinking it would be full of gold and silver.
Thus, all the winds got out and the storm
created by them hard-pressed the ship
back to the island of Aeolia.
When Aeolus saw Odysseus again,
He understood that the Gods were against,
So he refused to help him again and told,
To leave the island forever, lost his love

Many thanks for your amazing comments on my above poem. When I write on love and romance as my regular theme, I get comments that my verses are very cheap and classless. When I write bit sensual, again I get response that I am very erotic and too bad and so on so on. Hence, I decided to go into the Epic, I am what I am. In every field of work, there will be few friend and many enemies, I am happy that you regularly give inputs as comments. The main purpose of this comments are is to inter-act among authors, but some are mute, and they boast they are the supreme authors. Here, no one is supreme, all are equal, Thanks for your wonderful comments on mu verses.
Odysseus was the king of Ithaca. He was one of the well-known heroes in the Trojan War and his adventures are detailed in Homer's great work Odyssey. He was clever, shrewdness and eloquent. When the time came for Helen of Troy to choose a husband, Odysseus was one of the suitors. He suggested that all suitors take an oath to protect the interests of whomever she chooses. It was Menelaus who won the hand of Helen eventually.
