To the one that I love

Starting off life, as twin brothers two,

one disappears, as I’m here without you.

I try to be strong as now we are now one.

I watch as your shadow, shines back from the sun.

My life travels on, the family, so poor,

But my dreams still wander, yearning much more.

A gifted voice, I knowingly have………..

To my mother’s heart, I sing.

Brought home from the service, to see mom once more.

Her life fading out, the life I adore.

Loneliness settles, in the depths of my heart,

As her life leaves her, I start falling apart.

Many people around me, oh how much they cared,

But I needed my own time, as they all stared.

In crowds of people, I felt so alone.

To my mother’s heart, I sang.

I scarced to my own time, just fading away

Set back in the distance, just fading away.

With the time passing on, I knew that someday,

Again I would face them, with my feelings to say.

The time finally came, as they gathered around,

as my mind seemed to lapse, and my heart seemed to pound.

I still felt so lonely, so empty inside,

For to be “Elvis Presley”, there is no place to hide.

To my mother’s heart I sang………
