I don't look like a writer
Many will say
Well, do I write like an adult model?
Makes as much sense that way
Do I sound like I was raised down south?
Or dress like a mother of two?
How would you prefer I think and behave?
Just so that I'm not so confusing to you?
Should I bake cupcakes all day
For some husband whose head of the church?
Stop wondering why the crows look at me strangely
From my mailbox where they purch?
Should I change my hair
Back the blond I was given at birth?
Then would I be suitable?
Then would I have worth?
See, now, I will be who I am
Contradictory as it all seems to you
Because I delight in being one of a kind
