Poem -

Our night has come

Though night is fading, I still see your face
A glowing ember through the smoke
And I, so confident of our love
You came into my days
And possessed my sleeping hours
You took my tears
And turned them into sunlight
The laughter of little children was ours
But night must fall and colour dies
So these moments pass away
And we will weep for our lost love
Your face grows dim now
Our night has come
