Pain

Pain

You chose a life of pain
A life of drugs
A life of lying and stealing
Physically and mentally beating me down
I stayed for so long that I thought I wasn't good enough
In my heart I knew I was worth everything good
Knew I deserved more than what I was dealing with
I remember everything you did and said to me
Everything you did, every lie you told
I loved you, but you chose to lie, cheat, steal, beat me, and do everything wrong
Why couldn't you be the person I met so long ago?
The man I fell in love with, the one who made my life complete
You changed and never came back to me
You just left me alone again so I moved on for myself
I can do this on my own
