Painting is for pictures
too hard to understand
so let me paint you a picture
of a girl
who had a little too much to understand..
A girl to young to fully understand the intention of his wondering hands 
Let me paint the picture of a vulnerable girl who put her trust in his hands
Picture this girl frozen In fear but lucky to be out of this predicament quickly 
Picture This girl Sitting at her kitchen table near tears as she tells a complete stranger where his hands went and how violated she felt 
Picture a Girl in a room with another complete stranger just so she can process that night in a safe space 
Picture a girl crying because he’s gone where baddies go and she didn’t think he would 
Picture this girl doing her GCSEs with nothing on her mind but fear and shame because her actions put him in a box with bars 
Picture this girl on stage right now a girl who is no longer ashamed a girl who is no longer afraid 
Painting is just for pictures 
To complicated to understand but fairly easy to see
1 in 4 girls will go though this 
And this is my story a story that I am no longer ashamed of or frightened of
