Pancake day 🀣

Pancake day 🀣

Everyone is at it !!
It’s a knack you may say
Tossing it up and down
Catching it in midway

Stirring mixture by the bucket load
Eggs, milk and flour
Scoffin’ a few at a time
Then devouring more in an hour

We just can’t seem to get enough of them
They are oozing out our ears
They suit absolutely all ages
From tiny toddlers to old dears

Splat the mishmash in a pan
Make sure the pan is big
Spread the batter nice and round
Now give the pan a little jig

Wait until the pancakes formed
Nice and golden brown
Now jerk your handle in the air
Make sure you catch it coming down

Oh no, it’s stuck on the ceiling
You must have thrown it wrong
Never mind try with anotherΒ
Next time dont fling too strong

What a load of hungry tossers
UK has got today
The firstΒ Β of March
Is Pancake day so they say….

Awe Jill a yummy write indeed!Β
As a kid I was addicted to pancakes. When I was two I apparently ate 12 of them! Lol then never looked back. As a teen I would make pancakes every day. Loved this homage to them 😊❀️
