Poem -

A Passage of Pleasure?

~I checked the train times for many a place
It was clear I was finished in this space

I cannot grow here any more, my field is dormant
Nothing I can do, no fresh seeds to plant

I packed a little bag nothing much were the content
I checked my bank, no journey round the world, is clearly meant

I gather my thoughts and walk to my transport
In the hope I find a challenge, so heavily sort

A one way ticket is what I will buy
To somewhere new to stretch my wings and fly

I leave behind a part of me
I hope my imprint is lasting, for all to see

I do not know where I am going or what I will find
I know I leave this life and go for the ride

The clouds are parting to give the sun some grace
It seems so poignant as I leave this place

The train pulls in with a flurry of flight
To take people to places, for me, to light

I do not know if I will conquer or be defeated
As I settle with my bag, content for now, to be seated

Hi Jane Richards,

Simple write, thanks for sharing, my applause, my five stars, I like the below lines fro your fabulous verse

Regards

Thank you my friend

All my writes are very simple. I try to write about life 'as we live it' I hope it helps people who face the impossible.
