pink moon reverie

pink moon, supermoon

pink moon reverie

pink moon, rising sun
another day’s begun
into the garden I’ll go
at the crack of dawn
for another shot at the lawn
while the weather’s warm
the grass is growing faster now
i only cut it a week ago
Β
blue sky, all day long
that’s what we’re in for
when I’ve finished all my chores
i’ll sit myself outdoors
in my shorts and shirtsleeves
i’ll wile the hours away
watching all the flowers grow
in a pink moon reverie
Β
as over in the garden pond
tadpoles hatch from spawn
and on the back garden fence
a common blackbird sings its song
butterflies, bees and hover-flies
flying round having fun
I’ll bask in the glory of the good job
i did when I mowed the lawn
Β
pink moon, setting sun
when the day is done
into the house I’ll go
but I won't put the TV on
i’ll make myself a nightcap
early to bed I’ll go
to watch all the flowers grow
In a pink moon reverie

Dear Rowland,

This is a beautiful alliterative write.Β  I felt myself waking up to "smell the roses", from a dream about "the birds and bees".Β  I will end with a Haiku.

Pink Moon Reverie
My stepping stone to the stars
And pure ecstasy

Peace and Love,
Larry xxx

A very generous comment. And I love the haiku.
All the best

Thank you. The weather will be glorious again. I'm an optimist despite all that's currently going on.
