Poetic Justice

Poetic Justice

Life is just a bowl of cherries

A song from way back when

It still holds true in today's troubled world

The years may have flown by

But it's the same old song

You'd think we would learn from our mistakes

But war and strife is built in

To our collective psyches

My question is why, when the great majority

Of us humans would rather live in peace

That those dastardly few at the top

Who are not satisfied with the status quo

But continually want more and don't care

Who dies or how many lives are ruined

Will they pay for their sins in the afterlife

It WOULD be poetic justice!

Wouldn't you agree?
