Poem -

Queen

Oh you, your vicious fire burns brighter than any lick of crimson tongue
And my spirit wilts amid the sulking stars
Your disgust is souring my youthful glow
And dimming the gentle flame of my eye
Your fraudulent affection meanders in tears around my gentle ivory
And you stain my fair porcelain with webbing cracks of obsidian and sapphire
My bloody features, insistent jaw and empty eyes
Recoil from your cruel touch
You are a stubborn inferno that consumes any glimmer of silent hope,
You were once my queen, my lover, my friend.
Your claims of your love insult the very lyrics and
Your true hate blisters against the bloodstained tiles.
Again, I am home.
Imprisoned in your deadly embrace
