Imprisoned

Imprisoned

Oh vicious fire that burns brighter than luminous lunar sphere

That droops amongst the soulless stars

Meander in tears around Porcelain Mountains

That is my skin

Stain my snowy complexion with your countless dark bruises

That freckle my skin continuously

Oh saline stream that runs scorching like molten rock

Settle on my warm features and insistent jaw

That flinches from your fingers

Oh stubborn inferno that is your hands

Be extinguished by the water that is my blood

Scalding is the liquid that cleanses me

With a soap that stings my tears to stains

Oh proud conflagration

That burns against my scarred skin

With the ignition and roar of your youth,

Be extinguished into nothing more

Than a malevolent steam

Your hate blisters against the bloodstained tiles

That spell ‘Hate’

But is read as ‘Love’

Impostor, into the abyss you roam

And call it home

Another hit and another bruise of so called familiarity

And nearness

Of your skin stinging against mine

Finally, I am home;

Imprisoned, in the cell that is your arms.
