Poem -

Reach out to the Moon

Reach out to the Moon

For my Mam,

Endless hours spent of laughter, tea and chat

Thoughts of you always lay heavy on my mind.

A simple wish, to have you close you’ll find,

All of the love, yes you were filled with that.

Missing you so much, never really goes away

Moving on in life, is not such an easy task

A very new direction, but without you to ask!

Still need your hand to hold, and wisdom each day

My heart it leaves a sound, a beat that’s out of tune

Endless days go by, in search of simple rest

Who do I call now when all is just so messed

When I feel you close, I reach out to the moon

And back again to see If I can find you near.

Closeness from so far away, often so absurd

A feeling, which for now just can't be heard.

Memories of past, are feeling very dear,

Why is it since you left, nothing is ever clear

Beautiful, heartbreaking and yet heartening.

Of course you miss her...but she's with you always; she's still there in the very core of your being, in the love she gave you and in the love you give others.

She'd be so proud of you and everything you've accomplished.

All my love,

My Dear Lorna,

.

My Mam floated so high up above

She's now the Goddess of the Moon

Each night she sends me her purest of love

As my heart and my soul ever swoon

.

Some day we will meet when I join her up there

Never to part again

For every moment, then as one we will share

Eternity together shall we spend

.

Hugs, Peace and Love,

Larry xxx
