Are You Ready ?

Under radiance of the silvery moon

He will be with you far too soon

Accompanied by sythe and Raven

From him, there is no safe haven

Carrying the souls of all the dead

Some to the place they surely dread

An Afterlife beckons to us eventually

Is it somewhere you want to see ?

Has your life been of goodness and light ?

Or at seeing a black cloak will you take fright?

He has been with man for all its existence

It is futile showing him any resistance

He will know when your time is through

How would we act , if as he, we knew  ?

When will he carry your soul away ?

Are you truly ready to see that day ?
