Robin

Robin

I look through the frosted window pane
At the inquisitive robin, sat there again
It tips it's head sideways, to and fro
What's it telling me? What does it know?
Its funny how when I'm missing you
He reappears and pulls me through
He's probably just going about his day
And paused a minute to look my way
Sat on the fence, beautiful simplicity
For a second, our minds in synchronicity
In the blink of an eye he flies away
And somehow comforted, I continue my day

Hi Jayne, hope you are very well. This is a lovely poem about Britain´s national bird. It captures the Robin´s confiding nature perfectly, a characteristic that has endeared this beautiful bird to many.  I very much enjoyed reading this, thank you!
