Rough with the smooth
What I requireÂ
I can also provide
To set sail you need a tide
The rough with the smoothÂ
It’s hand in handÂ
Both equally important the ocean and landÂ
Before you reach your own success
You have bouts of doubt, Â regret and stressÂ
Rough with the smooth like the sun or a storm
At the side of every rose there is a thornÂ
Life will give you good and bad
It comes hand in hand
Like happy or sadÂ
Rough with the smooth take it as you chooseÂ
If you let rough win you will lose the smoothÂ

Love this. Things in life are all relative. We cannot possibly know what happiness is if we have never experienced sadness, and vice versa of course. How do we judge darkness if not against the light or evil if not against the good? Great poem which makes us all think x
