Sand Dollars

Sand Dollars

Sparse riches in palm of hand
Gather dollars in gild sand
Two hearts beat as one
Afoot neath setting sun

Lavender kisses foamy shore
Ne’er do we ask for more
Weariness may ensue
Be assured I’ll carry you

Though age casts us low
You’re only harbor I know.
I’m your moon, you’re my tide.
Chaos shan’t be denied.

Chasing twilight’s fleeting form
We shall weather any storm.
Walk with me hand in hand.
Gather dollars in gild sand.
