Saturdays Sunday

Saturdays Sunday

The dream of us is now faded
You once in my life, as a old photo reminds,
You drifted past as a cloud calls the next
Your new love holds you close, bless has he finds,
I remember our love was new & wholesome
Bringing light to my soul, you relit my heart,
A childhood, darkness followed me past years
Screaming for inner peace to settle, finally a start,
Happy days leads to a distraction, I heard
For at least one of us found love, it's clear,
As the buzzards around me still peck my heart
Who have I left & why do I keep those hurt so near,
I was given the life to follow & learn
I should have done better & realised my ways,
I was last as ghost roams the grave yard
I opened up to nature's peace & live day by day.
