Serendipity
My blood and sweat
I offer thee
For I lost all else
And more
My eyes are but empty shells
T'was left that way
not born
My voice a mere whisper,
So hoarse, So raw
My youth I sold
for 3 pence a day
My innocence went along...
I left my little boy begging
I couldn't take him along
For this ride I'm on is too Fast
Too cruel
Too unforgiving...
And now I stand before thee
With nothing but my soul
My body spent and raw
My tears all used up
My hands are bound
My hair clenched too tight
And My legs have lost their use
Oh Master,
I bare my soul to yee
Won't you help me
lift my pain?
My blood and sweat
I offer thee
For I lost all else
and more.
Your bones they cracked
asyou grew in size
A vile smile you gave me
Your crooked teeth
Your blackening tongue
And your eyes black
And dark as obsidian
Yet They spoke in volumes
they told me tales
Of my wretched fate
And my final blow delivered
writhing under yee
Dear Lord in Heaven
I left my pain behind
My heart is whole once more
And my soul is unscathed
I bring with me just a wish
A wish so strong to beat
I wish my little boy
will never do to any girl
what his father did to me...

I completely agree with Merrill it has been awhile for me too since I have read something in the old tongue that's so perfect and so beautifully written. I absolutely love it!
