Poem -

Shadows

I see you, from the shadows, I see you,Ā I used to be you.Ā

Cold, lone, and afraid.Ā

Like you, I couldn't find, night from day.

I could do the things you do, I used to.Ā

I still hide in the shadows, sometimes, I'm working to brighten my light.

It's dark, every second, trying to find the switch, to return the light.

Trying to find something, or someone, to make it bright.

So much, we get lost, in how hard we try.

If we gaveĀ a second, just to stop and listen, we CAN hear, see, and make a difference.

If we only stopped, gave a minute, to smile and shake a hand, we CAN make a difference.

Gave an hour, to hear stories, of the one sitting next to you, we CAN make a difference.

Gave hours, to give something, no matter how little, we CAN make a difference.

I see you, I hear you, from my shadow, my light shines bright, to help you win the fight.
