Shadows In My Glass

While I drink the taste of you reminds me of this glass filled with ecstasy

A shimmering sparkle, and then suddenly it fades and shadows lay

In my glass so fine we take the pain from our thighs and leave it behind

For today I want the glass to be clear no more shadows in the waters I sip

The elegance of your scent the moments of time rush by yet we meet inside

Our minds so clear, and the paths cross as the tears fall into place I tip these

Thoughts of you and I while we live and love each shadow dancing now in my room

For the memories of a love once known is better than none ever told with you I feel

Shadows pass and the dreams will clear my head and be gone my sin we are empowered

By the life after death be it near a looking glass into the future as my wine now disappears

Shadows of you lay naked upon my table so quaintly remembered
