SHE THOUGHT SHE WAS

SHE THOUGHT SHE WAS

She thought she was the  shimmering ?MOON

That glowed and lit up the night

Or was she the BLACK VELVET COVERING

Contrasting the beauty of light

She thought she was the great NORTHERN LIGHTS

Doing pirourettes to color the sky

Or was she a dark SHADOWY CLOUD

An UMBER passing by

She didn't seem to understand

She couldn't figure out; Why?

Instead of being seen, for who she thought she was

She was found eating humble pie
