Should have known

You we're burning bright red, you wanted me to burn too.
But I had different reservations, I was a skyline blue.

You felt adandoned, didn't you? Though I was just a message away.
Wasn't close enough, or so you thought, to be in the game you wanted to play.

Now your somewhere hours away, you couldn't even tell me it was goodbye.
I had to figure it out alone, was the connection just a lie?

I thought we were standing side by side, you left me there alone.
I was supposed to mean more to you then that. Oh well, I should have known.
