IN THE SILENCE OF THE NIGHT

When the day is over
And darkness replaces the light
Time goes slowly by
As a mother lays alone and cry.
Tears on her pillow
And a heart filled with grief
In all of her searching 
She cannot find relief.
So deep is the pain
She feels inside
Though she smiles and laugh
Her pain she cannot hide.
Nothing in the world
Or under the sun
Can bring comfort to this mother
Who has lost only son.
So in the silent of the night
When all is asleep
This mother lays alone
In the darkness and weep.
