Silver

Silver

Tousled it playfully after dipping them in the full moon,
Ran your fingers through having caressed a blank paper,

See, how much silver has been shining in my hair since.

----------------------------------------

I kind of like the gray strands in my hair and there're quite a lot of them for my age.

Hi Sambit,
I remember asking my neighbor as a child if shed been painting....only to get a horrified reaction of no...its my grey hair....If i'd mentioned moonbeams i'm sure it would have gone down much more pleasantly.
Brilliant

Shukriya so much Lorna, for this lovely, personal and anecdotal review of my simple humble words. I have always liked gray in anyone's hair. I feel it looks dignified. And calling it silver does come across as much more pleasant for most. I have quite a bit of silver strands in my hair. (I wear my hair long, tied back in a little bun at the nape.) I might look much older than my 34, but I still really like it. :)

This is an obliquely romantic view of a rather mundane aspect of life; the perfect exemplar of your perspective and style.

Of course it could also be read as a rather passive aggressive attempt to blame your other half for turning you prematurely gray!!

Either way...the writing is enchanting...

Hehehe....shukriya so much for the generous and honest review. The poem's expression could be a little naughty or satiric, it still is about how I love the silver in my hair and imagine it to be as a tender gift from her.

As of the oblique- you know, what an incorrigible romantic fool I am! :P
