Simple Man

Simple Man
Just a simple man,nothing more,nothing less
Indifferent to my sorrow just trying to do my best
Insulated from the past and the shadow it does cast
A loneliness that comforts as it binds
In the recess of my mind,I forgive
Awake each day wanting not to live
Existing in this shell I wear
Dream of days I'm no longer there
I will leave no trace,no footprint will.you find
A simple man,forgotten soul,this empty fractured mind

Hello, Matt.
I'm new here so please bear with me while I learn my way around.
A popular southern rock band here in the 'States called Lynard Skynard wrote a very popular song about being a "Simple Kind of Man."
It's much better than the alternative--being a complicated woman.
My writing instructor, Jim Barrett is from North Hampton. Perhaps you know one another.
Good writing, sir.
Cheers.

Yes, he's from England (UK).
When he gives us our classes online at 5:00 pm, his time is about five hours ahead of our own here in Ohio where I live, or 10:00 pm.

He's a member of another writing site of which I am a member.
Jim is not currently a member of Cosmo.
I'll be taking my first trip ever, along with my younger brother, to London sometime this spring.
I'm truly looking forward to it.
