Simply addicted

I wanted to whisper how I felt,

But time was ticking by and it too late,

I was simply addicted!

I could feel the ground,

The earth cracked beneath my feet.

I could feel the pain,

My heart ripped from my soul,

I was an addict!

 I felt sorrow,

Your words taken from my mouth,

And my body tarred, shattered

From the meanings of your tattoos,

Like a mirror,

The only reflection I could see,

Meaningless, Is me...

I was trapped by the words you said,

I became a victim.

I got drunk by the taste of your lips,

I became weak.

I was simply addicted by your love,

I became scared.

I wanted to whisper how I felt,

But time was ticking by and it too late,

I was simply addicted!

I could feel the rush,

The poison had my heart beating a minute too fast.

The restlessness and impatience

Changed everything,

I was an addict!

I gave you all I had,

And still you wanted everything, but me...
