Sin of the father
The dark chapter

Absence was your escape
that part about you, which I truly hate.
Seeing you flee from hope
seeing you flee from your own faith.
Leaving behind the bad
leaving behind a family
that you already knew, endured so much pain.
Running away from your mistakes
shying away behind your sins
that at the end, whenever it all collapses
you won't get any of the blame.
Losing all of your privileges as a dad
by staying away, while I the son chose to wait
for a father that simply never came.

Wow!! I really enjoyed the flow in this write! It takes quite a skill to do a single rhyme poem and make it work. But you have pulled it off. Impressive. I look forward to reading the two other parts. Welcome to the Cosmos!
I agree with Fish here "wow" Nicely done in few words. This really speaks of that rejection felt. Parents are meant to be our first role models. This is a touching write on the emptiness felt from a child who only ever wanted to feel wanted and loved by their father. Intrigued to view the other two, poems as I sense a trilogy
Well penned and welcome to Cosmo
