Poem -

Slowly...

Slowly...

Slowly,
gently,
patiently,
peel back this skin,
this flesh,
these veins,
that pulse with silence.
Break each bone that harbours
the sorrow of all my yesterdays;
each bone that is drenched in
the oceans tears.
Reduce me down to,
before I
was me,
to before my eyes beheld your soul.
Let me live a hundred years more,
as a bird,
a sweet bird,
with a candy voice
that sings its eternal song; and
flies so high, it may kiss the sky..

Awesome! I'm cursed with the curse of being unable to write free verse, everything has to rhyme or be in time.
This is how it's done though.

A wish to born again...Beautifully written

Take careΒ  - SydΒ

Syd, thank you so much for your amazing comment!
I do also write in rhyme too, but mainly in free verse, as I love the freedom of it!
