Smokey Stars

Smokey Stars

The dusty stars glisten in smokey skies

Hanging just like perfections sweetest dream.

Bringing smiles that (for him only) will beam,

confidence now to break unwanted ties.

............................................................

Seeing sparks, that truly light coldest ground.

On much concealed darkness of the bleak earth,

Giving depth to feeling, she has more worth!

Love falls without first any single sound.

..............................................................

The dust that drowns in heavens, emerges

Falls quickly, but not nearly soon enough!

Yet, the stars are seemingly not so tough,

Longing for the burning simple urges.

................................................................

Wants and needs the ever star studded night,

To beat on down and prepare for true flight.

Yet the stars are seemingly not so tough
Longing for the burning simple urges.

These are my favourite lines; for two reasons...firstly, the image/idea is just so simple and intriguing and true...but mostly, because they are indicative of a larger feature of this poem: your immaculate and incredibly assured handling of the language.
I love your work Lorna...you know I do...but this is taking it to a whole new level!!

The imagery is simple and cosmic and beautiful; the feelings behind them, behind the whole piece, are elegantly and wonderfully stated.

I tip my hat to you, Ms. Caizley!!

My Dear Lorna,

The glistening stars illuminate her smiling face

For she has now found true love

She senses it's passion shine

Brightening the bleak earth

With her bared soul now claimed forever

She floats to the stars

To share eternity with her "Soul's Mate"

Hugs, Peace and Love,

Larry xxx
