Poem -

Snow

Through the curtain
comes icy light
in which I bathe.
I look,
'cross the frozen tundra,
they walk amongst themselves
and I, in here

Swarmed by glowing permafrostic
lumination,
In cold loneliness do I look upon
myself,

then at them

then at myself.

The icy light...
Warms my frozen heart
and my body, plagued with sickness
unto death, while all of them
glow in delight of their
peace of mind.

The coldness is unbroken
and the loneliness gives no token
of its leaving, 'til I be broken.

And today, I am not joking,
in this shadow, I am choking
Because I am only hoping
that the curtain
through which comes icy light
shut
and leave me here

     in silence

     in darkness
