Snow Angel
A body found on a cold winters day,
Naked under a sunless sky,
A perfect angel where she lay,
A crimson stain to mark the site.
The modus-operandi yet unknown,
Was she the only one?
Posed like a sleeping beauty in the snow,
Yet waking up to never come.
She died in the coldest season,
An insult to her story,
One human losing reason,
One human given glory.
And so she bleeds into the ground,
Her heart no longer beats,
A nobody before this girl was found,
Now the mascot for a beast.
An icy tear upon her cheek,
Frozen in immortal time,
Barbed-wire neck for all to see,
A clear message - 'You are mine'.
