Some Little Things Change

The peach falls from the tree and it is eaten by a small boy walking by
The sweet juice of nectar for a hungry child
The day has been driven with fruit fliesĀ
for the heat is above ninety fiveĀ
It will soon be my turn to go to the orchards and continue to pickĀ
Hard work little money but I am over the boarder and a citizen. by and by

A wash cloth lay across my forehead as I lay and think
Where has the time gone by as some little things have changed
But most are exactly the same
