Poem -

Sponges

Are you happy sitting at home
Living off the state
You pay no rent, no bills or tax
You must think it's pretty great

You have your hands in the cookie jar
And let's be honest Its really not
Fair to help yourself to more
than you put into the pot

Whilst others are out there working
Through the day and through the night
Missing their kids play cos there's bills to pay
I don't feel that it's right

Do you want your children growing up with little aspiration
Just another lost soul on the rock n roll
Sponging off our nation

So carry on and sit wallowing in shit
On your arses doing nowt
Cos your energy peaks just once a week
With your scrounging hands held out
