Stay With me

Stay With me

I wake up screaming his name and my silent tears flood the bed, a bed he once laid his head.
Now just a getaway "Peace" he would call it, a temporary escape from everything he was running from.

Pulling me in close, tightly wrapped inside his warm arms against his chest, Id find myself lost in the sound of his beating heart. Trying to make sense of this reality, or is it just another dream to crucify my soul.
He soon falls fast asleep but i can not bring myself to close my tired eyes, I want to hang onto this night for as long as I
can.

Time is now my own worst enemy, how much time do we have? But there is never enough time. We need more time.
I wish him to stay, I beg him please dont go. But with every footstep he takes towards the door my heart breaks a little bit more.
Once hes out of sight, I fall to my knees and pray that this was not our final goodbye.

I wake up screaming his name, with silent tears that flood the bed, a place he once laid his head..
