SWAN SONG...
Upon a vast, grey, dreary lake
I met a male duck....
A drake
Every day I would watch him swim
And I knew right away
That I had to meet him.
All alone
He was far from home
And it didn't take long
To place him under my wing
Yet every day I waited for him to sing
Together we grew
Yet alone we flew
These two birds of a feather
Did not flock together
And we constantly struggled
In the stormiest weather
But never say never
For I was a swan
As behind all the cloud
I had noticed a song...
He had always been there
For I noticed his stare
And thus our swansong
Had begun to flare
The Duck....Not a Drake
(How could I make this mistake??)
Waddled over... and gave us both a handshake
And just like water.. off a ducks back
I said my goodbyes
Where he just gave a QUACK!
Now I am to marry this swan.. thus our song
Will eternally remain my new name....
