Swan-Song

Swan-Song

Brimming with love, my heart crossed continents of plush malachite forests, stretching up to skies of fluffy cotton tails, resting on mountains draped in velveteen grey.

Feathered arrow of steel, navigated my path through heavens adorned with rhinestones and dreamy crescent smiles, as the night hid a world, but revealed a universe.

I channelled through oceans of time, deep and wide beneath me, flowing and ebbing with the secrets of a thousand whispers; to find the gold, that is you.

My paragon of reverence, the esteem of my delight, masquerades of embraces and pleasure, brought me to the end of the rainbow, and into your arms.

But, this carnival of desire that drew us together, our sugar-coated blissfulness, is maybe, the one sullen-dulcet charm, that will finally, tear us apart.
