Sweet Bird of Freedom

Sweet Bird of Freedom

Thank you Cherie! you inspired my bird poem!!

Softly float on such temperamental streams,

Drifting in the awe of green pasture.

Avoiding much torment and all capture,

Aviation of the lowest of queens.

Each blustering blow, in so much her stride,

Wavering slightly, yet still staying strong.

Feeling the breeze through feathers so long,

Lifting  much higher as she simply glides.

Frightened! Though does not slightly quiver,

With the conviction as fierce as the sea.

No want or need for the scraps does she.

Over waters endless blue river,

Swooping closely to find the best view.

Under the bridges of bleak temptation,

Flying into such pristine narration.

Earnestly flies and continuing through,

following the light and finds her own way.

A sweet contentment, a new place to stay!

Frightened! Though does not slightly quiver,
With the conviction as fierce as the sea.

What a fantastic metaphor.

This whole poem is a testament to how much you've come into your own in the last while; how your remarkable talent has flourished.
It's a joy, a pleasure and a privilege to watch, Lorna...it really is.

This site allows only five stars...but I want to give you so many more!!!

Hello L Caizley...

When I think of a bird's life from the hatching of an egg to getting pushed out of a nest high in a tree and flap or die...

Their wings so tiny and to reach adulthood and have babies of their own is quite amazing...

We often fear losing our water wings when we begin to swim...

Great inspired write!

Thank you for sharing...

Hugs...

My Dear Lorna,

The eagle has landed, now gone from the hawk

No longer their beaks to squabble and squawk

The pasture is greener, enshrouded in peace

No longer the need, her tears to release

Hugs, Peace and Love,

Larry xxx

My Dear Larry,

You have a distinct ability to  reach right to the heart of poetry and draw something beautiful form it.

Lovely, Thank You....all the best to you and yours
