Talking to a friend

Talking to a friend

Talking to a friend
Always a relief

Simple joy of being heard

I speak a lot

She always listens

As If we describe loneliness by each other's lips

I say I'm suffering

She says I'm alone

Like we're reading two pages of the same book

Very close but somehow different

She said you remembered

I told her I barely do

Tragic story we call life

I want to run away

She needs to belong

Same ideals about living

Yet with different approach

I see the flesh

She finds the soul
