Tea

A ritualistic extrusion
Brewed in harmony
Fermenting the infusion
Preparing perfectly
-------------------------------
Just a moment's pleasure
Incite yearnings need
An amber stained treasure
Inside the warming knead
-------------------------------
Exactly what's expected
That catch a breath desire
Time which is reflected
Within liquid fortifier
-----------------------------
He looks upon the Tyne
So Grey and Monumental
Though Eastern in design
An English Quintessential

I could smell the tea, reading your words.Β Awesome!Β I hate tea and prefer coffee but I love this poem!
Hi Gregory, I drink both depending on my mood, thanks for reading
Lorna :DΒ
This is probably the most ENGLISH poem you've ever written darling. The imagery is oddly sensual and seems to imply a particularly tactile approach to making (to "knead"...an especially illuminating homonym!!) the tea.
And the patriotic hat-tip to Charles Earl Grey is very funny and clever.
I love it ... and you {Though I'm rather ambivalent towards tea...as you know!}

My Dear Lorna,
I'm late, I'm late
For a very important date
I have to post this limerick
For my poetic sweet soulmate
.
Thank you our dear Earl Grey
For bringing this delicious brew our way
It's brought us countless pleasure
A cup or two in measure
We drink at Tea Time every day
.
Love You,

Hello My Lovely poetic friend Larry,
Your Limerick made me smile
here's one for you
A poetic response that causes a smile
It comes from his heart, and goes the full mile
his kindness does show
As his words they do flow
With a grand unrepeatable style
Thank You
All my loveΒ
Lorna xx

A response to my comment has brought me such joy
From a woman of beauty, like Helen of Troy
Her heartwarming quips
Have launched one thousand ships
It sailed to the soul of this boy
All my love,
