The Tear

I put one foot over the side of the fence and begin to climb down. My eyes are closed. My breath is short, but I know where to go. I'm shaken, but my mind is clear. My soul knows she belongs here. Dare I keep going down the other side when all of a sudden I hear a distant cry. I open my eyes and look through the holes of the fence. He has taken my child. I grasp the fence and let out a roar, but dare I stop? I need my God more. I continue to go with tears in my eyes and my heart aching, but to his surprise I am not debating.
"Chi look!" He calls out to me. "See what I have taken."
I hear his words. I know his lies, but will I stop? No, but I will cry. I close my eyes and take another step. I know he is not done yet.
"There goes your home, your husband, and your family too. Soon I will have you."
I am torn up inside, but would it be enough to only say I tried? I'm pretty sure even Jesus risked his life. I don't know how close I am to the ground and I realize I no longer hear the thunder's sound.
I am scared thinking what if he left, but something else says what if it's just a test?
Looking at everything that has been taken. Is it possible I have been forsaken? I try to take another step though, but what would be the next thing to go? I want to continue without fear.
Though my body and mind have made themselves clear. It was my soul that had shed the tear.

Chi this is remarkable!
I think of the test God gave to Abraham with his son Issac, how God allowed Job to suffer, the brutal death Christ died for us. you speak of a reality that is tormenting but have faith! remember the prodigal son, and never give up!
1corinthians 10:13
thanks for sharing this poem!
thank you. its real and really happening right now. i wont give up. you are very welcome
Chi, a really good write. Â Had to read it through twice, because I struggled a little bit with the layout but second time round got the proper rhythm which helped me read it better!!
Very good Chi, a wonderful write, a worthy nomination imo and a vote from me :)
Well thank you very much :). I appreciate your kindness and glad you enjoyed it:)
So I forgot to post this on here in the comments but this is a 3 part piece. It was supposed to read The Fence, The Tear, and then The Other Side. Once you read them in that order then the 3 of them make sense together better than they do apart.
