Poem -

Tears

Have you ever hated I can't say that I have.
Not truly or fully but often I'm sad.
The very nature of life is brutal and harsh.Β
And at the end all were promised is theΒ light turns to dark.

I have cried for the children who die for want of a meal.
I have cried for their mothers and how they must feel.
For the loved ones I lost, the tears have flowed free.
I shed and feel sorrow for others but save none for me.
