THE AWAKENING

As a virus rips through all mankind
Answers we are required to find
When faced with death one searches within
For that higher power so comforting
When all hope is done and lost
We plead to the Lord to take us not
No longer absorbed in trivial life
We desperately seek to make things right
Pardoning ourselves for all we regret
Facing our pain, guilt and neglect
Prayers are offered in search of The Maker
Surrendering to faith, begging a saviour
But this time we may make a choice
And recognize We are God's voice
And the only reason we face disease
Is not because our God's displeased
But because we've forgotten we have control
And to achieve it we have to change our goals
We must take on a brand new mind
Where thoughts are acknowledged, the ego's aligned
When we can take responsibility
For judgements and accountability
For our contrasting world with all its themes
And recognise we create all of these
We realise it's useless to be afraid
For that fear into reality will be made
People choose to leave enmass
They do not desire to acknowledge new facts
They will move back to the light, the Love and peace
And will expand according to their beliefs
They will reunite with splendid knowing
The memory returns as light is flowing
